But they&#8217;re only getting paid a fraction of what they usually make. Each of them is only getting $4 million, which might sound like a lot, but in Hollywood terms, it&#8217;s a significant pay cut. Now, why would these big stars agree to work for less money? Well, it turns out that they all have something called &#8220;backend deals.&#8221; Basically, that means that if the movie does really well at the box office, they&#8217;ll get a cut of the profits. So even though they&#8217;re not making as much money upfront, they have the potential to make a lot more if the movie is a hit.
