The last Kingdom – Season 5 | News Update ( The Cine Wizard )
The historical fiction drama series, The Last Kingdom is renewed for its 5th season. After the premiere of the 4th season in 2020, the future of this series was obscure and uncertain. But after the announcement of the 5th season which will also be the last one, fans are impatient to watch Uhtred on their screens. The Last Kingdom is an adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s novel series, The Saxon Stories. This novel series is based on a fictional account of Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, as they fight to win. The protagonist of this series is Uhtred of Bebbanburg. Born to a Saxon father, Ulhtred is captured and raised by a Viking lord who enslaves him after killing his father. The main cast of this series is returning for the final showdown and the names are Alexander Dreymon, Emily Cox, Millie Brady, and Eliza Butterworth along with other characters. Season 5 of the last kingdom will cover the 9th and 10th books from the novel series. But still, a large portion of the source material is yet to be covered. Therefore, a film is expected to be released after the final season of this show. It will be dropped on March 9th, 2022.
