BLADE (2023) │ News Updates │ Maharshala Ali ( The Cine Wizard )
Finally, after a long long time, we will watch our favorite day walker, Blade in action again. In this upcoming film, Marvel is set to re-launch Blade in its cinematic universe again. After the original trilogy, staring Wisely Snipes in the title role of Blade, this film will serve as a reboot to this character. For a long period, Marvel didn’t show any interest to revive this famous character, but all things changed when Kevin Fringe, the president of Marvel Studios, announced to re-launch Blade, a.k.a Eric Brooks character. Being a part of phase four of Marvel Cinematic Universe, this upcoming blockbuster film stars Maharshala Ali, in the title character of Blade. The premise of this superhero film is still under wraps but like always, Cine Wizard has some predictions about it. In this movie, Marvel will show some back story or origins of Eric Brooks and how he became a vampire slayer. But as usual, Blade’s story will interconnect with other Marvel characters which will define the course of its further story. In post-credit scenes of Eternals, we hear Ali’s voice as he asked Dane whether he is ready to wield Ebony Blade or not. So, Blade’s story involves other superheroes and villains from MCU. Marvel has hired Pakistan-born filmmaker and director Bassam Tariq, to lead this project. The filming for this film is expected to start in July 2022. So, we can expect this film to be released in November 2023.
