Man vs Bee | News Update (The Cine Wizard)
The trailer for Man Vs, Bee, has just popped up and it looks hilarious. This new Netflix comedy series is led by Rowan Atkinson or more commonly, Mr. Bean himself. This trailer of Man vs. Bee looks wacky, but in a very good way. Starring the comedy giant, Rowan Atkinson in the lead role of a bumbling dad, the series is set to show a hilarious battle between a man and a bee. The official synopsis reads as “a man who finds himself entrenched in an ongoing battle with a bee while in the midst of housesitting at an elegant mansion”. In the show, Atkinson portrays Trevor, a house-sitter, who has the misfortune of crossing paths with a very tenacious bee in the house that is, under his supervision. As trailer further shows how much Trevor has suffered when he is charged with 14 counts including dangerous driving, and the destruction of priceless artwork. While the trailer looks promising and entertaining, we cannot help but wonder how Rowan Atkinson and the creators are going to sustain this idea for an entire series. But worry not, because the man behind this project is none other than Will Davies, the long-time collaborator of Atkinson. Will Davies has a good record when it comes to the comedy genre. Many successful comedy movies like the Jonny English series are credited to him. So, we are hopeful both these men will surely deliver a great comedy series to cheer us up. Fans of Rowan also have high hopes as their favorite comedian is coming back this summer to deliver his best physical comedy. Apart from him, the series stars Jing-Lusi as Nina, the owner of the luxurious mansion, Claudie Blakely as Trevor’s ex-wife, and Julian Tutt as Nina’s husband. Having nine episodes in total, this upcoming comedy series is set to be released on June 24, 2022. You can watch this binge-worthy show on Netflix.
