The story revolves around an unlikely team led by Michael. Something has gone wrong with humanity, and he needs help to fix it through time-traveling missions using a unique washing machine-like device. He sent his team back to 2023 mentally, and their presence in the past is limited to being voices in the heads of their targets. The film is written and directed by Steven Soderbergh and it also features Roy Wood Jr., comedian Chloe Radcliffe, and Liev Schreiber in the supporting roles.
