Shazam: Fury of the Gods: Who Are the Daughters of Atlas? #youtubeshorts #thecinewizard
Do you know, who are three daughters of Atlas in the upcoming film Shazam: Fury of the Gods? Well, Atlas himself is a DC Comics character, and her daughter “Athena” is closely aligned with Wonder Woman. However, Hespera and Kalypso are new to the DC Universe and have never appeared in comic books. Hespera is the first daughter of the Atlas and an omnipotent entity known as a Titan who gave Shazam his stamina. She is inspired by a character from Greek mythology called Hesperides. Next up is Kalypso who is another daughter of Atlas. She isn’t based on any pre-existing characters from DC Comics. Instead, she’s based on a pre-existing character from Greek mythology in Homer’s Odyssey. Last but not least, we have Anthea who is the youngest daughter of Atlas and, like her sisters, she’s not adapted from DC Comics but rather from Greek mythology.
