Squid game season 2 has been confirmed by the show’s creator. And now, we’ve got new details on potential cast members and a window for its release. Squid Game was a sensation around the globe when it hit screens last year. There were many speculations about its future but recently, the creator of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk indicates that he has started to develop its 2nd season. In an interview, Hwang said, “There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice!” He also said, season 2 could arrive at the end of 2023 or sometime during 2024. Gi-hun, the winner of Squid Game and the main character of season 1 is returning in season 2. But he will not be alone as is expected, Lee Byung-hun, who played the character of Front Man, is also returning in season 2. The 2nd season will follow Gi-hun’s quest to end the game. He could be aided by policeman Jun-ho, if he is still alive. No doubt he has a score to settle with his brother, Front Man. Therefore, Netflix has also given greenlit to this project and it will be released in 2023 or 2024 at Netflix.
