So far, the only glimpses we’ve had of the film are leaked set photos from their New York City shoot. In the Marvel Comics, Cassandra Webb, also known as Madame Web, is a psychic mutant with the ability to foresee the future, allowing her to peer into various potential futures and alternate realities through her connection to the Web of Life and Destiny. She has served as a mentor not only to Peter Parker but also to other spider-heroes like Spider-Women Julia Carpenter and Jessica Drew. As a more mystical character in the Marvel universe, Madame Web’s powers could potentially bridge Sony’s Spider-Man Universe with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, akin to how Doctor Strange functions in the MCU. The film features Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb / Madame Web and Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter / Spider-Woman in the lead roles.
