Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes │ News Update ( The Cine Wizard )

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is an upcoming American science fiction action film, making its debut seven years after the last installment in the Planet of the Apes series. We’re here to reveal the expected release date and provide insights into the plot, what to anticipate, and the cast of this epic movie. Welcome to The Cinewizard, your ultimate guide to movies and TV shows.
The 2017 film “War for the Planet of the Apes,” directed by Matt Reeves, marked a gripping and emotional culmination of Caesar’s journey, from a curious baby chimpanzee in the arms of Will Rodman (James Franco) to a rebel leader and a compassionate war hero fighting for the rights of his fellow apes. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is set many years after the events of “War for the Planet of the Apes.” Following the near-annihilation of humanity by the Simian Flu virus, apes have gradually become the dominant species on Earth. In this new era, Caesar’s wife and son are killed by humans, prompting him to embark on a quest for vengeance. As Caesar grapples with his darker instincts, it’s revealed that the Simian Flu has evolved, rendering humans mute and more feral, rather than killing them. In the end, Caesar succumbs to his wounds but ensures the survival of his son Cornelius and other apes in an oasis. As he peacefully departs, he trusts that Cornelius will remember his legacy. In the upcoming film, a substantial amount of time has passed, and apes now rule the world, while humans live in a wild and mostly nonverbal existence. Some ape factions are unaware of Caesar, while others have twisted his teachings to build their own empires. The movie follows Cornelius (played by Teague) on a mission to free captive ape clans held under the rule of an ape leader (Durand) in order to retrieve human technology. He seeks the assistance of a human (Allan), but she has her own agenda.
Official Storylines reads, “The new Apes movie is set many years after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes. Many apes’ societies have grown from when the Moses-like Caesar brought his people to an oasis, while humans have been reduced to a feral-like existence. Some ape groups have never heard of Caesar, while others have contorted his teaching to build burgeoning empires. In this setting, one ape leader begins to enslave other groups to find human technology, while another ape, who watched his clan be taken, embarks on a journey to find freedom. A young human woman becomes key to the latter’s quest, although she has plans of her own”.

Macy and Dichen Lachman were also cast in January and February 2023, respectively. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is directed by the talented Wes Ball, with a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison. The film is produced by, Silver, Jaffa, Joe Hartwick Jr., and Jason Reed, with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping serving as executive producers.
